In the OR with Dr. Andre Teixeira

Recently, we had the distinct honor of observing and filming Dr. Andre Teixeira at work in his operating room in Orlando, FL. Dr. Teixeira is a leading bariatric surgeon in the United States and is known around the world as an expert not only in minimally invasive / laparoscopic and robotic bariatric surgery, but also a leader in a new generation of surgeries performed endoscopically. Over the course of the day, we were able to observe and record gastric sleeves, gastric bypasses and more.

The Importance of Our OR Visits

A key component for bariatric success, especially in bariatric surgery, is education. When patients understand the journey, they are not only more confident going into surgery, but they are often more successful post surgically as well. Bariatric surgery is a significant commitment – a lifelong commitment – and should not be taken lightly or as a magic bullet.

As part of our commitment to clients such as Dr. Teixeira and their patients, it is important that we educate as many visitors as we can. There’s no better way than to film the key parts of each procedure that our surgeons perform.
